Look out California. Australia is leaving you in the dust!
While many Americans find California’s “under 18” ban on tanning beds radical, Australian state, New South Wales, is banning tanning beds (known as solariums) completely!
There is no denying the sun’s harmful affects. In Australia, where the sun’s rays are relentless, “melanoma is the most life-threatening form of skin cancer and the most common form among 15-39-year-olds,” according to New South Wales Minister for Environment.
The ban will begin December 31, 2014.
